A SONNET WITHIN OUR CAROLS

Oh jingle bells and their place is well
Feels a little sad admist the joy it brings
One more nightmare and it won’t be hell
Seeing but not feeling with the songs she sings

Would it be 'bout nothing our soul is flexed?
Warming up the shrew was’t all in vain?
Limping from the middle yet not perplexed
Life would be a game for all its pain

So they say it's Christmas they broke our shell
Where are all our glories, where hold our strings?
Darkness nor the tempest would mean no pretext
Blessed afar or near our thoughts mispell
The meaning of true love, like bees it stings
Right across our heart; no joys expressed

This is one of my many unpublished poems. I should say that I am a man of many opportunities. And this is why I do not have enough time for anything. I need to separate some things; I need time to do it.
If you enjoy the sonnet, please leave a comment.
Thanks.

IDA ONYANGO - BIOGRAPHY

Ida Onyango is a 24 year old dynamic singer, dancer and performer. She was born in Nairobi, Kenya. At the age of 3 years, Ida and her mother Elizabeth Onyango followed Ida’s father Benjamin Onyango who had moved to the United States to study Computer Science.
In 1992 Ida’s parents founded an African cultural dance group called Upendo Singers that performed in Elementary Schools, Colleges, Churches and Festivals in Northern California. Ida was eight then and joined her parents on stage to sing and dance the traditional dances. Ida’s love for performing on stage was then born.
At age 10 Ida decided to go solo and started recording and singing her own R&B songs. In 1995 after Ida’s father graduated from College the family moved from Turlock City in Northern California to the city of Hollywood in Southern California. Here Ida’s career as a solo performer blossomed. At age 13 she was seen by a Hollywood producer singing in a school play. After the performance, he approached Ida and her parents and asked them if he could represent Ida in Hollywood. After a few meetings and talks and agreement was reached and the producer signed Ida to a 3 year Artiste development deal. During this period Ida recorded many songs and competed in many Hollywood Talent contests.
At age 14 Ida was recruited by talent scouts from “Hines and Hunt Management” from Burbank, California and signed to a Management deal to do theatre, commercials and films. Through this Management Company, Ida landed a recurring role in the TV soap opera “The Days of Our Lives” where she played the character of Georgia Delgado for a year and a half.
In 2002 at the age of 18, Ida was cast in the action thriller movie “Tears of the Sun” starring Bruce Willis in which she played the character of “Lasana” a rape victim.
In 2004 Ida took a break from acting and went back to the studio to record her first album “Tired” In 2005 Ida toured Kenya for the first time in 18 years. She was received very well and while in Kenya she recorded 3 songs with three of Kenya’s top producers. One of her songs “Don’t Stop” did very well and was aired many times on one of America’s premier TV stations BETJ. The song also made it on Kenya’s NTV, KTN, Channel O and MTV Base stations.
After returning to the USA from the tour of Kenya, Ida recorded two albums entitled “Nairobi” and “Party”. To promote her album, Ida joined visiting Kenyan Music Superstars “The Longombas” and “Kleptomaniacs” on a 22-City tour of the USA.
